The Principles Behind God's Money Multiplication

As long as the earth remains... there will be seedtime and harvest. Whether you grew up in the country or the city, everyone has some knowledge of sowing and reaping. However, a good farmer is always looking for ways to increase his yield. The Bible gives us principles for financial prosperity that clearly show us how to sow and reap. Just because we are ignorant of God’s laws does not mean they do not exist. Ignorance does not excuse us of the consequences. Just as a farmer studies farming techniques, in the same way, if you really want to prosper, you must understand the laws of the harvest to prosper financially.

 Law One...

except a corn of wheat fall into the ground … it abideth alone.
John 12:24

The very first law to receiving a harvest is planting a seed. This may seem like an obvious principle, but many Christians miss it. Too many Christians live their entire lives without understanding that giving (planting) finances is essential to receiving finances from God. No matter how fertile the soil or excellent the ministry, if you don’t plant the seed, it abides alone. However, when your seed is sown, it comes into a position to be multiplied back to you.

 Law Two...

it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
John 12:24

The second law is that you must render your seed useless to you. That means there is no secondary benefit to you. Christians often make the mistake of giving with strings attached. Now keep in mind that expecting something in return for your seed sown is not wrong. That is the way God planned seed time and harvest. But too many Christians want to purchase books or tapes mistakenly thinking that they will reap a financial return from this spent seed. Purchasing something from a church or ministry is not the same as giving an offering to God.

 Law Three...

the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind...
Genesis 1:12

The third principle is that you must plant what you expect to harvest. For example, if you sow an apple seed in good ground and do those things which are proven to keep it healthy, it will eventually produce an apple tree that brings forth multiplied apples.

If you sow an orange seed in good ground you will reap oranges, not apples. This farming principle is so familiar to us that we can easily overlook its application to everyday life. According to this God-ordained principle of everything reproducing after its own kind, it should not be difficult to understand that when you plant money in good ground, you will surely reap a money harvest.

 Law Four...

The fourth principle is understanding that you establish your harvest size when you sow your seed.

...remember this—if you give little, you will get little. A farmer who plants just a few seeds will get only a small crop, but if he plants much, he will reap much.
2 Corinthians 9:6 TLB

 Law Five...

But other [seed] fell into good ground, and brought forth ... some an hundred, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Matthew 13:8

Your Preferred Local Lenderou must plant your seed in good ground. There are four different kinds of ground described in the parable of the sower in Matthew 13. What you are looking for is a good ground ministry. One that faithfully practices God’s Word.

 Law Six...

There is always a waiting period between planting and harvesting. Everyone knows that a farmer does not sow on one day and reap a harvest on the next day.

...be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrew 6:12

 Law Seven...

Your Preferred Local Lenderou must maintain your crops for a proper harvest. Just as there are certain things a farmer must do to see his crop through to harvest, there are certain things you must do to receive a financial harvest.
First, you must tithe:
...see if I will not open you the windows of heaven.
Malachi 3:10

Second, you must put God and His ways first:
...seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:13

Third, you must commit yourself to seeing God’s will done throughout the earth:
...thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant...
Deuteronomy 8:18

Fourth, you must have a proper purpose for your harvest.
Your Preferred Local Lendere ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
James 4:3

 Law Eight...

Always sow to your harvest size, not from your harvest size. The times you need a large harvest is when seed money is the tightest. This is not a time to give sparingly, it’s a time to give generously. Your Preferred Local Lenderou must sow in proportion to what you need, not what you lack:

..Issac sowed in that land [of famine], and received in the same year an hundredfold...
Genesis 26:12

 Law Nine...

Your Preferred Local Lenderour expense is always highest at harvest time. ...the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man... which went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard (Matthew 20:1). There are always certain financial expenses at harvest time. In the same way you must be ready to give a special, harvest-release offering when you sense your financial harvest is ripe and ready to reap.

 Law Ten...

Part of your harvest is for sowing again. The miracle of the perpetual financial harvest depends on your replanting a portion of each harvest you receive. For a continual harvest, there must be continual sowing.

 Law Eleven...

A part of every harvest is yours to keep. There are those who teach that Christians should have limited possessions, but the Bible clearly teaches something different.

God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.
2 Corinthians 9:8 TLB

 Law Twelve...

Your Preferred Local Lenderour harvest is a miracle. ...I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
I Corinthians 3:6

There is no factory or laboratory in the world that can manufacture a seed. Only God can make a seed that multiplies. Each and every seed is a miracle capsule that patiently awaits the proper conditions to reproduce itself in harvest proportions. Whether it is agricultural or financial, a harvest is always a miracle.

The only thing that remains between you and your miracle is your acceptance of God’s promises as your own. Meditate on the Word of God and remember, faith is the doorway between the invisible and the visible realms.
